Matthew Mueller, CIC has been with Village Insurance since 2008. He has been a licensed Property and Casualty Agent since 2007, and received his Health and Life License in 2008.

Matt has taken numerous personal and commercial lines certification and education courses and prides himself on his broad depth of insurance knowledge. He can help his clients with all their insurance needs including: Auto, Home, Business, Life & Health Policies. Matt works with his customers to make sure that all of their hard earned assets are protected. He will talk with you to make sure that you are getting the coverage that makes sense for you, not the insurance policy that doesn’t offer you the correct protection. Matt knows there is nothing more frustrating than paying for insurance that you are unable to utilize in the event of an emergency claim situation. He works with small families all the way up to large commercial builders. He is qualified and able to help you with any type of commercial or personal insurance that you need.

Matt also has an extensive client list, composed of bars, restaurants, taverns, and dancehalls. He is specialized in the intricacies of the bar business having worked in bars during his time in college. He is familiar with dealing with TABC, and can write the Conduct Surety Bonds and Gross Sales Tax Bonds required by TABC. He can offer you advice and help walk you through the process of complying with TABC regulation. Serving alcohol is sometimes vital to a business’s success, and you need someone with the experience and know-how to obtain the specialized coverage required when you add this exposure to your business.

Matt has completed his Certified Insurance Counselor designation. The requirements for this designation include over 100 classroom hours of study and passing scores on 5 written essay exams. The 5 exams cover ranging topics including: Personal Lines, Commercial Casualty, Commercial Property, Life & Health, and Agency Management. The designation also requires Matt to update his knowledge every year by attending a 3 and a half day course to make sure he is abreast of current trends and updated information regarding the insurance industry.

Matt was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended John Marshall High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin. Matt was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity during his time at UT. He served in numerous officer positions for the fraternity including president from 2006-2007. He also was a manager at the campus recreation center for 3 years. Matt Graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 with a degree in Corporate Communications and a minor in Business. He married his wife Lauren in May of 2012. Matt has four children and he and his family live happily in the Boerne area.
